I caught up with CBC’s Chris Jackson during Delhi 2 Dublin’s rehearsal for the Canada Day festivities on Parliament Hill. What an experience! Despite all of the rain and wind, everyone was in good spirits and working hard preparing for the big day.

I did not watch, either the video or on Dominion Day, out of protest. I sincerely object to the government funding of CBC, and shutting other Canadian broadcasters out. CBC should be privatized like Air Canada and PetroCan. It would continue to exist, but the taxpayers would have $1.1 billion more to pay off our debts. I wonder how long my posting will be allowed to remain on this site! I fear this is a one-opinion blog.

I think the entertainment could have been a lot better than it was, and to have the same performers again this evening singing the same songs as this afternoon was quite boring. I feel sorry for the our special guests Prince William and Kate. and as for me there was far too much french spoken
