I am thrilled to be announcing that the next Olympic Games are coming home to CBC/Radio-Canada!

Thanks to the incredible efforts of our team, Jeffrey Orridge, Jack Tomik, Neil McEneaney, Jacques Gaboury, and the help of our colleagues in Radio-Canada, we have been awarded the Canadian broadcast rights for the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games and the Rio 2016 Olympic Summer Games. CBC/Radio-Canada will once again be the place where Canadians turn to cheer on their athletes and celebrate their successes.

This is a very exciting day for Canada and everyone in the CBC/Radio-Canada family.

Congratulations!
